RoFlightTracker24 FAQ

Using the map

Finding flights, replays, saving things and alerts.

How do I find a flight, airline or airport?

Press Search at the top of the map, or Ctrl K anywhere. Type a flight number, an airline's name or code, or an airport code or city. You get live flights first, then airlines, upcoming flights and past flights from every airline. The search box in the flight list on the map does the same.

Can I watch a flight again after it lands?

Yes. Open the Recent tab in the flight list on the map, or search for the flight, and open it. Press play to watch the whole flight on the map; it plays at 25× by default and you can pick 10× or 60×. Drag across the speed and altitude graph to jump to any moment.

What’s on a flight’s page?

The route with each airport's local time zone, scheduled and actual (or estimated) times, how far it has flown and has to go, the aircraft's photo, type, registration and livery, altitude, speed, vertical speed and track, a speed and altitude graph, the aircraft's recent flights, and other flights with the same number.

How do I save airports, airlines or flights?

Press the bookmark on an airport's board, an airline's page or a flight. Saved items show in the Saved tab of the flight list on the map and at the top of Search. They're kept in this browser, so no account is needed.

Can the map follow a plane?

Open the flight and press the crosshair. The map keeps the plane centred until you drag the map or press it again. The link button copies a link straight to that flight.

Can I filter what’s on the map?

Open the funnel in the flight list to filter by status, airline or aircraft type and to sort the list. Filters apply to the map too. The layers button switches between satellite, dark and light maps and turns flight labels and airports on or off.

How do I see what’s leaving an airport?

Click an airport on the map, or search for it. Its board shows planes flying in and out right now, what's scheduled for the next seven days, recent arrivals and departures, and the current weather.

Can I get an email about flights?

Two kinds, both from your account's email address:
  • Follow an airline on its page: you hear when it schedules new flights and when its planes take off.
  • Press the bell on a live flight to get one email when it lands.

Manage them in Flight alerts. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Which time zone are times in?

On a flight's page, departure and arrival times are in each airport's own local time, with the UTC offset shown under the airport. Elsewhere times use your device's time zone. Schedule emails show UTC.

Running an airline

Airlines, staff, fleet and the schedule.

How do I start an airline?

Sign in with Discord, open your Dashboard and press New airline. Setup walks you through the name, code, base airport, linking your Roblox account, your first aircraft and installing the tracker.

How do I add staff?

Open your airline, then Staff, and add them by their Discord user ID. To copy it: in Discord, Settings, Advanced, turn on Developer Mode, then right-click their name and pick Copy User ID.
  • They need to have signed in to RoFlightTracker24 with Discord once before you can add them.
  • Staff can help run things day to day. Admins can also change the schedule, fleet, settings and tracker key.

How do I add aircraft?

In Fleet on the dashboard, add each plane with its registration, type and a photo. You can also add or edit planes from the Studio plugin; they save to your fleet on the site. The photo is what shows on the flight's page.

How do I schedule flights?

In Schedule, add the flight number, airports, time and aircraft. You can repeat a flight for several days, mark it delayed or cancel it. Scheduled flights show on your airline's page, on airport boards and in search, and followers get an email.

How does a scheduled flight become live?

When one of your planes starts moving in the game within an hour of a scheduled departure, it becomes that flight: it gets the flight number, flies the scheduled route and is marked departed. If the plane or flight number matches exactly, the window is three hours.

What are codeshares?

Another airline can sell seats on your flights under its own flight number. Send or accept requests in Codeshares; you can auto-approve partners you trust.

Can I give my airline to someone else?

Yes, the owner can transfer it in Airline settings using the new owner's Discord user ID. They need to have signed in once.

Tracking your game

The Studio plugin, planes, airports and routes.

How do I get my Roblox game on the map?

Open your airline, go to Install tracker and download the Studio plugin. Then:
  1. In Studio, right-click Workspace, choose Insert from File and pick the file. Then right-click the new RoFlightTracker24Plugin and choose Save as Local Plugin. It loads straight away.
  2. Press Install tracker in the plugin, and turn on Allow HTTP Requests in Home, Game Settings, Security.
  3. Select each plane and press Track on its fleet row.
  4. Search each airport, pick the runway you built and click both of its ends. Your runway then sits on the real one on the map, at any game scale. Two airports is enough.
  5. Publish and fly. Your setup on the Install tracker page shows your progress live.

Is the plugin safe? How can I check?

It's smart to be careful, and you can read every line of ours before it runs:
  1. Download the plugin but don't put it in your Plugins folder yet.
  2. In Studio, right-click Workspace, choose Insert from File and pick the file. Scripts don't run while you edit, so just don't press Play.
  3. Open RoFlightTracker24Plugin and the RoFlightTracker script inside it. That's all of it: nothing hidden, scrambled or loaded from elsewhere.
  4. Delete it when you're done and install it the normal way.

It only connects to api.roflighttracker24.com (Studio asks you first), it can't reach your account, password or Robux, and every change it makes can be undone with Ctrl+Z. Don't read code? Paste it into an AI like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and ask what it does, but delete the line starting with local PRESET = first, because it holds your private tracker key. The Install tracker page in your dashboard has the full guide and a ready-made question to ask.

The plugin says it can’t reach RoFlightTracker24.

Studio asks once whether the plugin may connect to roflighttracker24.com. If that was declined, open the Plugins tab, Manage Plugins, find RoFlightTracker24 and allow api.roflighttracker24.com. This is separate from the game's Allow HTTP Requests setting.

My planes are spawned by a script. Do they still get tracked?

Yes. Pressing Track puts a small script inside the plane that re-applies the tracking tag when the game runs, so every copy a spawner makes is tracked. Track the template the spawner copies from.

How does the tracker know where a plane is going?

In this order:
  1. A matching flight on your schedule (see above).
  2. Departure and Destination attributes on the plane, if you set them.
  3. Otherwise it leaves from the nearest airport marker and heads to the other one. With several markers, it picks the one the nose points at.

Why does my flight say Unknown?

Nothing gave it a flight number: it didn't match a scheduled flight and the plane has no FlightNumber attribute. The flight is still tracked. Schedule it on the dashboard to give it a number.

How does the tracking work?

The tracker in your game reports where each plane is, how fast it moves and which way it points, once a second. We measure that against your airport markers and place the plane on the real route between the real airports. That's why turns, holds and go-arounds show up, and why a flight only counts as landed when the plane actually stops at the destination.

Do I need to update the tracker?

When there's a new version, the plugin tells you in step 1 and shows an Update tracker button. One press updates the tracker in your game, keeping your key. Publish afterwards so running servers get it. New plugin versions show a New plugin version available box at the top of the plugin.

When something is wrong

Fixes for the common snags.

My flight isn’t showing up on the map.

Open Install tracker: Your setup and Connection show exactly what the plugin and the game see. The usual causes:
  • Allow HTTP Requests is off in Game Settings, Security.
  • The place isn't published, so Roblox can't tell us who owns it.
  • There are fewer than two airports placed in the game.
  • The plane hasn't moved yet. Flights start when a tracked plane starts moving.

It says I don’t own the game.

The tracker checks that the game belongs to your airline's owner. If a Roblox group owns the game, add the group link in Airline settings, or make sure the group is owned by the Roblox account linked to the airline.

The plane points the wrong way on the map.

Some models have a main part that faces sideways. Select the plane with the Studio plugin open: an orange arrow shows where it thinks the nose is. Press Turn nose 90° until the arrow points forward.

I’m not getting emails.

Look in your spam or junk folder first, and mark our email as not spam; mail comes from notifications@contact.roflighttracker24.com. Also check Flight alerts to make sure the airline is still followed.

Someone else has my tracker key.

The airline owner can press Generate new key in Airline settings. The old key stops working right away. Download the plugin again, or press Reinstall in it, so your game uses the new key.

Developers

Using our API from your own tools.

Is there an API?

Yes. Create a key in Developers. With it you can list your airlines and fleet and schedule, edit or delete flights from your own bots and tools. The page has the full reference with examples.

What can an API key do?

A key acts as you, for airlines you own or manage as an admin. You can limit a key to certain IP addresses, have up to ten, and delete one at any time. Keep keys secret like a password.

Account and sponsorships

Your data, ads and paying with Robux.

How do sponsorships work?

Go to Sponsorships, choose a package and pay with Robux: the site gives you a 6-digit code to enter in our Roblox game, where the purchase happens. Then upload your banner and choose where it links to.

Where do ads show?

Sparingly: at most one per page. A small closable card on the map (desktop only), one in the dashboard sidebar, one beside the airline directory and one on flight pages. Nothing shows when no sponsor is running.

How do I link my Roblox account?

In Account, press Continue with Roblox and sign in. Airline setup asks for this too, since it's how we check that your games are yours.

Can I download my data?

Yes, Account has Download my data: your account, profile, airlines you own, staff roles, alerts and uploads. API keys are left out.

How do I delete my account?

In Account. It deletes your account, the airlines you own and everything in them, and your uploaded images. Airlines where you're only staff are kept; you're just removed from them.
